Sessions

Image Description: The Lincoln Branch gathers in a circle on the ground to play rhythms. One volunteer on the far right is holding a whiteboard with a rhythm wrote in red marker. The rest of the group is playing the rhythm on their instruments. There are 10 people in the picture, all wearing a variety of colors and types of clothing.

Sessions at Special Musicians are a great mixture of learning and FUN! Every session begins with a dance party to get everyone loosened up and ready to go! We then will split up into groups and learn the designated curriculum through a number of activities and instruments. We strive to have a 3:1 ratio between volunteers and musicians for each session so every child gets ample attention and supervision. We also provide snacks and juice near the end of each session that cater to everyone's allergies and diets, and then, we end in another big dance party!
